Job summary

Plaza Tire Service in Edwardsville, IL, is hiring a Junior Automotive Technician. You will perform basic diagnostic and repair work including oil changes, tire and wheel services, brakes, suspension, and alignments under supervision.

The position offers $20–$27 per hour (hourly plus flag rate) with benefits such as paid vacation and sick time, tuition reimbursement, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of automotive technician experience.
• Ability to demonstrate proper use of computerized equipment for diagnostics.
• Current, valid Driver’s license is required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• State Inspector License preferred where applicable.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic mechanical repairs based on level of experience.
• Performs tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance and tire rotation.
• Performs oil changes, fluid changes and power flushes and other basic services.
• Documents vehicle condition using Multi-point Inspection/Repair Order.
• Conducts State Safety and Emission Inspections where applicable and ethical.
• Follows safety procedures and reports concerns to supervisor.
• Maintains flexibility to work weekends and other duties as assigned.
• Adheres to company policies and handbook.
