Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a full-time, entry-level architectural professional to support design and documentation efforts under supervision.

You will perform basic architectural assignments, produce design iterations, and assist in coordinating with senior staff on projects with limited complexity. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in architecture, 0–3 years of related experience, and is working toward NCARB licensure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required.
• 0–3 years of related experience.
• Must establish and maintain a personal NCARB record in preparation of licensure examinations.
• Ability to obtain Architectural license in applicable state(s).
• Must complete training and testing for licensure within established time frame.

Responsibilities

• Consult with senior staff to determine functional and spatial requirements of new structure or renovation, and prepare information regarding design, specifications, materials, color, equipment, estimated costs, and construction time.
• Project research, field work, observation and preliminary design calculations.
• Prepare studies and reports and assist in developing design concepts and layouts.
• Assist senior staff in administration of construction contracts and in shop drawing review.
• Visit project sites to gather information, review design intent, and support the project team.
