Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking an entry-level architectural professional to support basic architectural assignments under direct supervision.

You will produce design iterations, compile data, observe construction in the field, and assist in preparing plans and specifications. The role involves working with senior staff and may require travel to project sites as needed, with licensure progression encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required.
• Must establish and maintain a personal NCARB record in preparation of licensure examinations.
• Ability to obtain Architectural license in applicable state(s).
• Must complete training and testing for licensure within established time frame.

Responsibilities

• Consult with senior staff to determine functional and spatial requirements of new structure or renovation, and prepare information regarding design, specifications, materials, color, equipment, estimated costs, and construction time.
• Project research, field work, observation and preliminary design calculations.
• Prepare studies and reports and assist in developing design solutions with senior staff.
• Visit project site to understand existing conditions and record measurements.
• Participate in project meetings with staff, clients, & regulatory agencies.
