Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture from a four- or five-year program.
• Must establish and maintain NCARB record in preparation for licensure.
• Must complete licensure training and testing within the established time frame.
• Work is closely managed; 0–3 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Consults with Architect to determine functional and spatial requirements and prepares design information.
• Visits project site to become familiar with existing conditions.
• Uses manual and electronic tools to measure and record conditions.
• Assists Architect in layout of project and integration of engineering elements.
• Prepares scale drawings and contract documents for building contractors.
• Prepares and files project documentation and transmittals.
• Assists in administration of construction contracts and on-site observation for compliance.
• Prepares studies and reports.
• Prepares project designs and plans using CAD software.
• Maintains equipment in good working condition.
