Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, is seeking an Engineering Technician - Electronics for its Irvine, CA site. The role focuses on hands-on electronics lab work, test execution, and support for product qualification and NPI transfers.

You will work with hardware engineers to debug components, assemble test fixtures, and ensure accurate data collection in a fast-paced environment. Onsite work, with strong emphasis on safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 5 years of direct electronics or RF hardware support experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute functional, parametric, and performance tests on RF, digital, and mechanical designs under hardware engineers.
• Support environmental stress testing for Product Qualification.
• Perform SMT soldering and mechanical prototype assemblies under a lab microscope.
• Help engineers isolate component-, board-, and system-level defects.
• Set up and calibrate RF and electronic lab instruments (VNAs, Spectrum Analyzers, oscilloscopes).
• Assist with New Product Introduction (NPI) and transfer to contract manufacturers.
• Document test configurations, failure analysis, and SOPs for new test setups.
• Maintain clean, safe, and ESD-compliant lab environment.
