LHH Recruitment Solutions in Baltimore is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant with 1–2 years of accounting experience to join a growing accounting and finance team. This role supports day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting while gaining exposure to the full accounting cycle.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of professional accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Experience with journal entries, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, lookups, and PivotTables.
• Experience with an ERP/accounting system (NetSuite, Dynamics, SAP, Oracle) preferred.

Aufgaben

• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain supporting documentation.
• Perform bank, balance sheet, and general ledger account reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
• Maintain and reconcile accruals, prepaid expenses, and fixed asset schedules.
• Research account discrepancies and resolve reconciling items.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements, schedules, and management reports.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed.
• Perform variance analysis and investigate unusual account activity.
• Prepare documentation and schedules for internal and external audits.
• Maintain accurate and organized accounting records in accordance with procedures.
• Partner with other departments to obtain information needed for accounting and reporting.
• Assist with process improvement and automation initiatives to improve efficiency and accuracy.
