Job summary

Walden Security is seeking a dedicated Court Security Officer to enforce entry control and screening at court facilities, patrol grounds, monitor CCTV, and escort judges and court staff as needed.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, legal eligibility for employment, English proficiency, and the ability to prepare detailed reports while maintaining strict security protocols. Candidates must meet physical and background requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 3 years of verifiable law enforcement or military equivalent within last 7 years.
• Ability to read, write, speak English and follow rules/regulations.
• Valid driver's license with clean five-year record and DOJ clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform entrance control and operate screening equipment to detect weapons, contraband, and prohibited items.
• Perform roving patrol of court facilities and grounds.
• Monitor CCTV, duress alarms, and security devices at stationary posts.
• Provide armed escort services for judges and court personnel when directed.
• Direct traffic and control lights at court facility properties where applicable.
• Enforce federal law and safeguard government employees and property.
• Prepare reports on incidents, accidents, and contract performance.
• Secure unattended courtrooms and inspect rooms prior to proceedings.
• Preserve order in courtrooms and enforce local rules and judicial orders.
