Job summary

BMW of Minnetonka is seeking a Journeyman Technician to perform automotive repairs to factory standards, diagnose issues, and road-test vehicles. You will document repairs accurately and ensure vehicles are returned clean and safe.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in automotive technology preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of automotive systems and components.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform work on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, per Lithia and manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose cause of malfunction.
• Road-test vehicles to ensure quality of repair.
• Record time spent on repairs using company time clocking procedures.
• Document work performed on repair orders and test procedures/results.
• Ensure customer’s vehicles are returned to them as clean as they were prior to being serviced.
• Complete required training and maintain manufacturer/ASE certifications.
• Review technical bulletins and publications as assigned by management.
• Communicate with dealership personnel to satisfy customer needs.
• Report to management any situation jeopardizing safety or integrity of the dealership.
