Job summary

MasTec Industrial is seeking a Welder to join our field team. The role involves joining metal components using welding processes, reading drawings, and adhering to site safety requirements on heavy industrial projects.

You will perform GTAW, SMAW, FACW, GMAW as needed, assist pipe fitters, and coordinate with foremen. This full-time role requires 50-hour weeks, travel up to 90%, and a strong commitment to quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, weld symbols and other instructions.
• Follow Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and project specs.
• Ability to read project plans, blueprints, welding symbols and diagrams to perform tasks accurately.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret project plans and weld symbols to perform tasks.
• Perform GTAW, SMAW, FACW, GMAW welds as required by project needs.
• Field install welds on structural components, ducts, hoppers, and attachments.
• Select fillers based on welding procedures and prepare surfaces for joints.
• Assist pipe fitters with measurements and material prep.
• Coordinate with foreman and other crafts to ensure safe, accurate work.
• Work shifts, overtime, and keep production schedule alignment.
