Job summary

Sunset Ford in the St. Louis area is seeking experienced Service Technicians to join our team. You will perform repairs per dealership standards, inspect vehicles for safety, and test components using diagnostic tools.

We offer a 40-hour work week with guaranteed hours, plus bonuses, paid training, and employee discounts on parts, service, and new cars. A clean driving record and strong customer service skills are required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Service Technician.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
• Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance.
• Ability to learn quickly and provide top-notch customer service.
• Clean and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Performs work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards
• Inspects vehicle for safety and maintenance needs such as worn brakes or tires.
• Tests components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnoses, maintains, and repairs vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning
• Provides an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executes repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
