Job summary

Sunset Ford Waterloo is seeking knowledgeable or experienced Maintenance Mechanics or B and C Level Auto Technicians. Responsibilities include oil changes, tire rotations, inspections, BG services, and safety recalls at a busy shop near South County and Arnold, with stress-free commutes.

We offer weekends off, full- and part-time roles, and a wage structure with growth opportunities. Starting pay is $18.00/hour, with increases based on experience and performance, plus benefits and advancement

Qualifications

• High School diploma
• Some prior experience is expected

• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information
• Understands basic operation of vehicles
• Oral and written communication skills

• Possess a clean driving record and valid driver’s license
• Ensures that customer’s cars are kept clean
• Maintain stall in an orderly and clean manner
• Ability to identify problems quickly
• Knowledge of automobiles
• Math, reading, and computer skills
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications

Responsibilities

• Perform Oil Changes, Tire Rotations, and Multipoint Inspection check lists per Ford Motor Company instructions
• Test to check whether systems and components are secure and working properly, top off fluids, and inspect fluid conditions
• Identify components that need to be replaced or maintained
• Perform BG Services, Fluid Exchanges, Alignments, and Safety Recalls
• Drive the vehicle for testing purposes
• Mount and Balance Tires
• Maintain efficiency and accuracy in repairing vehicles
• Repair or replace worn parts ahead of the vehicle’s breakdown or damage
• Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform various tasks

We’re seeking knowledgeable or experienced Maintenance Mechanics or B and C Level Auto Technicians to join us at Sunset Ford of Waterloo, just 16 minutes from Telegraph Road in South County, or 22 minutes from Arnold at Hwy 141 & Hwy 55 and opposite of traffic flow for a stress free commute! You don't have to drive North on 270 in the morning, or South bound after work!!!

• We offer weekends off. We have Part-Time & Full-Time positions available, and alternative shift times available.
• Shifts start no earlier than 7:30am, and we close by 5pm Mon-Fri.
• We have a wage structure that helps set transparency on your growth with the company and how to obtain the next level.
• Wages start at $18.00 and increase with experience and ability.
