Job summary

Sunset Auto Family in Sumner, WA is seeking an Automotive Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of vehicles using up-to-date tools and procedures.

Ideal candidates will have ASE certification preferred and strong communication; you’ll work with a team to ensure first-time right service, complete all paperwork accurately, and participate in training programs. We offer a competitive flat-rate pay and a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing a range of makes and models.
• Strong communication skills in a customer-facing role.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and manuals.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• ASE certification preferred, ongoing training supported.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot customer concerns using available tools and publications.
• Keep up to date with technical service communications.
• Ensure safe, first-time quality vehicle service as promised.
• Address customer concerns before pursuing additional sales.
• Inspect vehicles for additional sales opportunities per recommendations.
• Participate in factory or in-house training programs.
• Complete paperwork accurately and attach forms to RO copies.
• Arrive on time and be ready to work.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Service Manager.

Automotive Technician

Are you an Automotivetechnician looking for a new opportunity? Sunset Auto Family is adding to our team of highly successful technicians!

Primary Responsibilities:

• Correctly troubleshoot customer concerns using the latest administrative and technical tools provided.
• Keep up to date with all technical publications and service communications.
• Make every reasonable effort to ensure safe and honorable vehicle service is delivered as promised the first time.
• Address all original customer concerns before moving onto additional sales.
• Inspect every vehicle for additional sales opportunities ensuring that the vehicle is being maintained to the local area and factory recommendations.
• Participate in any Factory, or in-house sponsored training programs offered to you.
• Complete all paperwork completely and correctly, then ensure all required shop forms are attached to the RO hard copy.
• Always come to work on time, ready to work.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Service Manager.

Ideal candidates will have:

• Experience in performing warranty and non-warranty inspections, diagnostic, maintenance, and repair service on Ford and other various makes and vehicle models.
• Outstanding communication skills
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions
• Ability to exercise good judgement
• Valid State driver's license and good driving record

Required Education:

ASE certification preferred
