Job summary

Sunset Ford is seeking an experienced Service Technician to join our team in St. Louis. The role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and servicing a range of automotive systems, with an emphasis on efficiency and customer service.

The ideal candidate has prior service technician experience, strong mechanical skills, and is able to read technical instructions. We offer paid training, performance reviews, and a clear wage progression plan.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Service Technician
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information
• Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
• Ability to learn quickly and provide top-notch customer service
• Basic Computer Skills
• Great teammate
• Clean and valid driver’s license
• Maintains stall in an orderly and clean manner
• Ability to learn new technology, repair, and service procedures and specifications
• Extensive prior experience as a mid to high level technician under this category

Responsibilities

• Performs work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards
• Inspects vehicle for safety and maintenance needs such as worn brakes or tires
• Tests components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnoses, maintains, and repairs vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning
• Provides an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executes repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
