Aerotek in Brownsville, TX is seeking an experienced Journeyman Plumber for a contract role on a large industrial project. You will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial and industrial plumbing systems while ensuring safety and reliability.

This position requires at least 5 years of plumbing experience, ability to read blueprints, and OSHA awareness. Per diem of $125/day applies, with weekly pay and overtime opportunities; long-term career potential in a heavy industry setting.

• Complete work orders and maintenance documentation accurately.
• Follow all site safety procedures and applicable plumbing codes.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

Required

• Minimum of 5 years of plumbing experience
• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, tools, and installation methods
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair plumbing systems with minimal supervision
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and OSHA compliance
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

• Journeyman Plumber License
• Experience in industrial, manufacturing, refinery, aerospace, or large commercial facilities
• Experience servicing centrifugal, rotary, reciprocating, and vacuum pumps
• Experience working with air compressor systems
• Equipment operation certifications
• Experience utilizing computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
• Strong computer and documentation skills

Work Environment

This position is based in an active industrial and manufacturing environment. Candidates should be comfortable working around heavy equipment, mechanical systems, and construction activities.

The role may require:

• Overtime, weekends, and occasional emergency call-outs
• Working at elevated heights and in confined spaces
• Use of personal protective equipment, including respirators
• Standing, walking, kneeling, climbing, and lifting throughout the shift
• Lifting up to 50 pounds and pushing or pulling up to 75 pounds

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
