Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with piping systems preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain working knowledge of various pipe types and systems.
• Read isometric drawings, take measurements, fabricate and install piping efficiently.
• Align, bolt, clamp components for welding.
• Assemble and secure pipes, fittings, and related equipment.
• Position and secure materials during installation; follow plans and specs.
• Distinguish metal thickness and types.
• Operate rigging equipment safely.
• Use tools and equipment such as beveling machines, grinders, threaders, torches, drills, and Saw-Zall.
• Layout and install equipment, vessels, skids, pumps, pipe, and supports.
• Hydro test piping systems.
• Estimate sizes, distances, quantities, time, costs, resources.
