Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company is seeking a skilled tradesperson to plan, lay out, install, test and repair piping systems in accordance with project plans, codes and standards. The role includes reading isometric drawings, measuring, fabricating and installing piping, aligning components for welding, and ensuring work complies with contract requirements.

Applicants should be able to work outdoors, climb and operate in confined spaces, and perform overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Must possess strong working knowledge skills and abilities for position.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
• Proficient in the safe and efficient use of electrical, hand tools, power tools and layout tools as well as measurement tools

Responsibilities

• Plan, lay out, install, test and repair all types of piping systems in accordance with plans, specifications, codes and industry standards.
• Read isometric drawings, take measurements, fabricate and install piping efficiently.
• Align, bolt, and clamp components of fabricated metal products for welding.
• Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment by welding and threading joints.
• Position and secure materials during installation and install all items per plans and specifications.
• Inspect subordinate's work for compliance and take corrective action as needed.
