Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company in Mississippi is seeking a skilled pipefitter to plan, lay out, install, test and repair piping systems in accordance with plans, specs, codes and standards. The role requires reading isometric drawings and fabricating components on site.

You will work across butt welded, socket welded, threaded and grooved joints, operate cutting and threading tools, and ensure safety and quality during installation and testing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; experience preferred in piping or construction.
• Strong knowledge of pipe systems, joints and safety practices.
• Ability to read and follow written and oral instructions.
• Proficient use of electrical/hand tools and layout tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of pipe types and joints (butt welded, socket welded, threaded, grooved, glued, fused).
• Read isometrics, measure, fabricate and install piping efficiently.
• Assemble and secure pipes, tubes and fittings by welding and threading.
• Position materials and secure workpieces during installation per plans/specs.
• Inspect work for contract compliance and correct deficiencies.
