Job summary

UPS is seeking a reliable Mechanic Journeyman to join our fleet maintenance team. The Automotive Technician will service a diverse range of equipment including delivery vehicles, heavy-duty tractors, and trailers from various manufacturers.

You will troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic brakes, air brakes, electrical systems, and engine controls while working with diesel and gasoline propulsion systems. The role requires active state driver’s license, ability to work 2nd/3rd shifts, and possession

Qualifications

• Current documented automotive mechanical experience.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools and personal computer.
• Possesses full complement of personal hand tools.
• Class A/B or A CDL - Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meets DOT requirements as required by job assignment.
• Operate vehicles and equipment including manual transmissions and power tools.
• Safely perform maintenance tasks on a fleet of delivery vehicles and trailers.
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE as required.
• Work varying shifts and overtime as service needs dictate.
