Job summary

UPS is seeking a reliable Automotive Technician to join our fleet maintenance team. You will maintain a range of equipment including delivery vehicles, heavy-duty on-road tractors, and trailers, with diesel, gasoline and alternative propulsion systems where applicable.

Candidates must have automotive mechanical experience, own hand tools, and a valid driver’s license. Flexibility for 2nd/3rd shifts is required, with varying schedules by location. Strong diagnostic and safety skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Active driver’s license issued by the state.
• Willing to work 2nd or 3rd shifts as required.
• Must possess the required hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Meets D.O.T requirements for the job.
• Bends, stoops, squats, kneels, climbs ladders and stairs repeatedly throughout the workday.
• Sits infrequently, as required, throughout the workday.
• Exercises hand grasping and reaching to complete tasks.
• Operates standard and manual transmission.
• Operates power and pneumatic tools.
