Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a Class A Lineman to construct and repair electric overhead distribution systems. You will work on energized and de-energized lines and travel to various job sites as needed, reporting to the Foreman.

The role requires five years of overhead line experience, a CDL, and willingness to travel and work extended hours, including on-call rotations. The position involves outdoor work with heavy equipment and varied weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of overhead line experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to work outside normal hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintain and repair overhead distribution systems while prioritizing safety.
• Lead crew members in the absence of the Employee in Charge and conduct pre-job safety briefings.
• Train and mentor apprentices and groundmen.
• Install and repair overhead power lines and related hardware.
• Follow switching and tagging procedures and use proper test equipment.
• Climb structures using approved methods and equipment.
• Work outdoors in varying conditions and be on-call for outages and emergencies.
