Job summary

Pike Electric LLC is seeking a Class A Lineman for overhead distribution work. The role involves constructing and repairing energized and de-energized lines, traveling to multiple job sites, and leading crews in the absence of supervision.

Safety is emphasized in all tasks, including live-line operations. The position requires five years of overhead line experience, a valid CDL, and willingness to travel long distances on short notice.

Qualifications

• Five years of overhead line experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to work outages, nights, weekends and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Construct and repair overhead distribution systems.
• Lead crew in absence of supervisor; conduct pre-job safety briefings.
• Train and mentor apprentices and groundmen.
• Perform live-line work using approved gloving and hot-stick techniques.
• Travel to job sites, including out-of-state locations.
• Work outages, storms, emergencies including on-call rotation.
• Operate bucket trucks, digger derricks, tensioners and pullers.
• Follow safety PPE protocols and insulated techniques.
