Job summary

Pike Electric, Inc. is seeking a Class A Lineman in the United States to construct and repair overhead distribution systems. This role requires working on energized lines, traveling to multiple sites as needed, and reporting to the Foreman. Safety and on-call responsibilities are integral to daily duties.

You will lead crews, train apprentices, and operate bucket trucks and related gear while adhering to strict PPE standards in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of overhead line experience.
• Valid CDL is required.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and work extended hours.
• Willing to work out-of-state assignments and emergencies.
• Commitment to safety and PPE protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction and repair of overhead distribution systems.
• Lead crew in absence of supervisor and conduct safety briefings.
• Train apprentices and groundmen.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles and hardware.
• Operate bucket trucks and other line equipment.
• Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions and outages.
• Perform live-line work using gloving and hot-stick techniques.
• Follow all safety protocols and PPE requirements.
