Job summary

Matrix Service in Washington is seeking a skilled construction laborer to perform site prep, material handling, and operation of hand and power tools on heavy-construction projects. Responsibilities include supporting excavation, concrete work, demolition, weatherization, and maintaining a clean, safe work area in compliance with state safety regulations.

The role requires the ability to read technical schematics, follow safety protocols, pass a drug test and background check, hold a TWIC card

Qualifications

• Three+ years in refinery maintenance.
• Customer facing isn't required but hands-on skills are.
• Proficiency with basic hand tools.
• Strong knowledge of industrial safety standards and procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and manuals.
• Must pass drug test, background check, and hold TWIC.
• NCCER certification preferred.
• Complete the Company's Safety training and Client/Site specific training.

Responsibilities

• Rigging, signaling, and flagging for heavy-construction lifts.
• Identify and report hazardous materials to maintain a safe, compliant job site.
• Trenching and excavation tasks following safety standards and grade requirements.
• Assist with asbestos and lead abatement procedures in accordance with regulatory protocols.
• Support concrete and asphalt preparation, placement, and finishing on heavy-construction projects.
• Complete weatherization tasks to improve energy efficiency and protect structures from environmental conditions.
• Must work well with supervision.
• May be required to train and supervise apprentices.
• Perform other responsibilities as required or assigned.
