TIC - The Industrial Company is seeking a skilled operator to run power construction equipment for excavation, material handling, and road grading on rights-of-way. The role emphasizes safe operation, fluid checks, and basic maintenance.

Responsibilities include loading materials, trenching, inspecting gear, and supporting crew with inspections, estimates, and adherence to plans. Outdoor work with variable weather is expected, and drug/alcohol testing may be required.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent with experience in the field or related area.
• Strong working knowledge and abilities for the position.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
• Proficient in the safe and efficient use of electrical, hand tools, power tools and layout tools as well as measurement tools.

Mansioni

• Operate a variety of vehicles and large heavy equipment while performing maintenance and repairs on roads and rights-of-way, including loading, hauling and dumping on surfaces of varying roughness.
• Load gravel, dirt and sand; smooth and grade roads; spread rock and gravel.
• Trench and construct ditches for culverts, water pipes and sewer pipes; remove silt and debris.
• Inspect equipment and maintain fluid levels and lubrication.
• Instruct and train employees in safe operation of construction equipment and techniques.
• Inspect structures or materials to identify errors or defects and determine corrective action.
• Estimate sizes, distances, quantities, time, costs, resources or materials needed for work activities.
• Review subordinate work for contract compliance and address deficiencies.
