Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company in Arkansas is seeking an experienced equipment operator to operate power construction equipment for excavation, material movement, and grading on job sites.

The role requires ability to load, haul, and spread materials, trench for utilities, and perform equipment inspections while following safety policies and supervising instructions. Travel and shift flexibility may be required in a construction environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with related experience.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions; communicate with management.
• Able to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of vehicles and large heavy equipment while performing maintenance and repairs on roads and rights-of-way including loading, hauling and dumping on smooth to extremely rough surfaces.
• Load gravel, dirt and sand; smooth and grade roads; spread rock and gravel.
• Trench and construct ditches for installation of culverts, water pipes and sewer pipes; remove silt and debris.
• Check fluid levels and lubrication.
• Instruct and train employees in safety operation and skills.
• Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify cause of errors or problems.
