Job summary

Presbyterian Night Shelter is seeking a Journey Home Program Manager for the Women’s Shelter. You will oversee case management, guest services, bed assignments, and staff scheduling to help guests exit homelessness.

The role includes coordinating HMIS processes and supervising Journey Home Guides and Advocates in a high-demand environment. You will collaborate with clinical and administrative leaders, ensure program fees are collected, and coordinate ancillary services such as health and support

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social service or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years supervisory experience in residential environment.
• Experience with homeless or transient population and/or residential population experiencing substance abuse disorders or mental illness.
• Must be able to remain calm under high stress and communicate effectively with guests, staff and volunteers.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
• Valid driver license and proof of liability insurance is required.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for the Women’s Shelter including case management and guest services coordination.
• Direct supervision of Journey Home Guides and Advocates and scheduling coverage.
• Oversee intake, bed assignments, and vocational services to help guests exit homelessness.
• Ensure HMIS data entry, intake processes, and overnight sleeping arrangements run smoothly.
• Coordinate ancillary services such as AA/NA groups, medical and mental health services.
• Participate in administrative leadership meetings and coordinate with senior staff.
