Job summary

Goodwill Central Oklahoma is seeking a Job Developer to support individuals facing employment barriers by helping them prepare for, obtain, and retain work. You will assess skills, create employment plans, coach on readiness, and build employer partnerships to create opportunities.

The role involves coordinating with case managers, delivering workshops, and guiding clients toward realistic career paths while navigating job boards and local workforce resources.

Qualifications

• Some college work and/or Associate's degree preferred.
• Ability to work with diverse populations with barriers to employment.
• Ability to multi-task to serve clients and meet needs.
• Experience in job development for individuals with multiple barriers to employment preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and internet navigation.
• Reliable transportation and communication required.
• Clean driving record and valid license/insurance.

Responsibilities

• Organizes, prepares, and conducts new client orientations daily.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of client background, interests, skills, work history, and employment readiness.
• Identify barriers to employment, and develop strategies with the client.
• Collaborate with Case Managers and review the Client Success Plan to identify career pathways.
• Deliver workshops and coaching on employment skills (resume, interviews, soft skills, etiquette).
• Educate employers on benefits of hiring from diverse populations and tax incentives.
• Coordinate with managers and participate in job fairs and outreach events.
• Maintain client data, track job search activities, and support retention post-placement.
