Job summary

Goodwill of the Heartland seeks a Job Coach to support participants with barriers to independence. You will train and supervise, model work habits, and help clients set goals and complete tasks in community jobs. The role includes adapting training to changing needs and may involve driving participants to sites.

The position offers a flexible schedule, with evenings and weekends possible, and includes competitive PTO, team culture, store discounts, and a retirement plan after one year.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• AA degree can substitute for the required experience.
• Six months of related field experience required (e.g., customer service, custodial, sales, clerical, training).
• Reliable vehicle, valid license and auto insurance required.
• Successful background checks including criminal, motor vehicle record, and dependent adult/child abuse.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support for clients and train, supervise, and model work procedures.
• Aid participants in developing goals and implementing tasks.
• Adapt training strategies to changing environments and participant needs.
• Transport participants to program sites as needed.
• Travel between job sites as part of the role.
