At Peace Health Care is seeking a compassionate Employment Specialist to provide Supported Employment services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities at community businesses and local employment sites.

The role emphasizes teaching job responsibilities, developing workplace skills, and promoting independence, while collaborating with families, support coordinators, and employers to secure competitive integrated employment. Transportation may be provided as needed.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in human services preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation when transportation is part of responsibilities.

Mansioni

• Provide person-centered Supported Employment services based on each individual's ISP and goals.
• Assist individuals with identifying career interests, employment preferences, and job search steps.
• Support job searching, résume development, interview preparation, and employer outreach.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with local employers.
• Complete job analyses and task analyses to identify duties and supports.
• Provide on-the-job coaching and systematic instruction.
