Job summary

At Peace Health Care is seeking a compassionate Employment Specialist to provide Supported Employment services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in community-based settings.

You will guide job seekers through career exploration, applications, interviews, and on-the-job coaching, building workplace skills and fostering independent employment with local employers. Collaboration with families, Support Coordinators, and the support team is essential to success.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build professional relationships with community employers.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, person-centered Supported Employment services based on ISP and individual goals.
• Assist individuals with identifying career interests and employment preferences.
• Support job searching, resumes, interviews, and employer outreach.
• Develop and maintain relationships with local employers.
• Complete job analyses and create appropriate supports and training plans.
• Provide on-the-job coaching and systematic instruction.
