At Peace Health Care is seeking an Employment Specialist to deliver Supported Employment services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in community-based settings. You will help identify employment goals, support job search, prepare résumés, and coach on-site with local employers.

The role involves working directly in community sites, collaborating with families, coordinators, and the support team, and following Pennsylvania ODP Chapter 6100 guidelines.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or experience in human services preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build professional relationships with community employers.
• Ability to work independently in community-based settings.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
• Reliable attendance and dependability.

Mansioni

• Provide individualized Supported Employment services based on ISP, strengths, preferences, needs and goals.
• Assist individuals with identifying career interests and employment preferences.
• Support job searching, applications, résumé development, interview preparation, and employer outreach.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with local employers.
• Complete job analyses to identify duties, training needs, and supports.
• Provide on-the-job coaching and systematic instruction.
• Use teaching strategies such as modeling, prompts, and visual supports.
• Develop workplace skills including attendance, communication, time management, and professional interactions.
• Encourage independence and fading of coaching supports over time.
• Communicate with supervisors and team about progress and changes.
• Follow health, safety, confidentiality, and rights requirements.
• Provide transportation when required.
