Job summary

Beyond Home Health Care in New Jersey is seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional to empower individuals with developmental disabilities through daily living support and community integration.

You will implement ISPs, assist with personal care, accompany clients to activities, help with job applications and training, monitor health, document care, and maintain compliance with safety plans; flexible hours and mileage reimbursement offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18+ years old.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• CPR and First Aid certifications completed or through approved providers.
• Experience with developmental disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility.
• Implement ISP plans aligning with clients’ goals.
• Provide companionship and support, encourage social inclusion.
• Administer medication and monitor client health as per guidelines.
• Support clients with job applications and job training.
• Maintain accurate care documentation and follow behavioral support plans.

• Maintain accurate care documentation and follow behavioral support plans as required.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Prior experience with developmental disabilities (strongly preferred).
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
• Required training certifications such as CPR and First Aid to be completed through approved providers.
