Job summary

Beyond Home Health Care in New Jersey seeks a Direct Support Professional to help clients achieve personal goals and maintain independence within their communities.

You will assist with daily living activities, implement ISPs, provide companionship and monitor health, with opportunities for full-time, part-time, or per diem schedules. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are preferred to support mobility and community outings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Prior experience with developmental disabilities (strongly preferred).
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
• Required training certifications such as CPR and First Aid to be completed through approved providers.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility.
• Implement and adhere to Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) aligning with clients’ goals.
• Provide companionship and emotional support, and encourage social inclusion.
• Administer medication and monitor client health as per guidelines.
• Support clients with transportation to various appointments and community outings.
• Maintain accurate care documentation and follow behavioral support plans as required.
