Pratt & Whitney Columbus Engine Center in Columbus, GA is seeking a Mechanic to overhaul, repair, and assemble jet engines that power commercial and military aircraft worldwide. This hands-on, team-based role requires applying mechanical expertise to restore engines to peak performance, safety, and reliability.

This is a 1st Shift position: Monday – Thursday 5:30 am – 4:00 pm. You will work with turbine engines, engine modules, and components using a range of hand tools, fixtures, and test

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1+ years’ experience in a mechanic role or appropriate technical training.

Responsibilities

• Work as a member of a team responsible for turbine engine, engine module, or component maintenance in accordance with published work instructions and approved technical data.
• Utilize common hand tools as well as a wide variety of tooling and fixtures to assemble/disassembly and test a jet engine.
• Ensure all phases of assembly/disassembly as specified by work instructions comply with required self-inspection or peer inspection of critical processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
• Monitor and ensure processes meet Safety, Quality and Delivery objectives.
