Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is looking for a Mechanic at the Columbus Engine Center. This role involves critical tasks such as overhauling and repairing advanced jet engines that power commercial and military aircraft.

Successful applicants will work in a team-driven environment and ensure that the engines meet peak performance and reliability standards. Required qualifications include a High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent, along with preferred experience in aviation engine repair.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Aviation engine overhaul and repair experience.
• Hands-on experience in disassembly, inspection, assembly, or turbine engine test operations.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team responsible for turbine engine maintenance.
• Utilize common hand tools for engine assembly/disassembly.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards in processes.

Skills

Aviation engine overhaul and repair experience

Hands-on experience in disassembly and inspection

Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies

Education

High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
