Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Connecticut is seeking an Onsite Jet Engine Assembly Technician to train and assemble engine sections according to drawings and specifications, supporting test operations and using specialized tools to build modules for new gas turbine engines. Candidates must be eligible for DoW SkillBridge, be on active‑duty orders in the U.S.

Armed Forces, and hold a high school diploma with military aviation training in powerplant, airframes or avionics.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to participate in DoW SkillBridge.
• Must be on Active‑Duty orders in the U.S. Armed Forces.
• Must be eligible to participate per DoD Instruction 1322.29.
• Must have all TAP and transition requirements completed prior to the start date.
• Must receive approval from Unit Commander or O4+ in the chain of command.

Responsibilities

• Follow assembly drawings/specifications to prepare parts and build engine subassemblies.
• Assist with engine test operations and component tests as assigned.
• Use overhaul procedures and specifications to perform mechanical work on engines and modules.
• Obtain parts, check conformance to assembly requirements, and measure components to specs.
