Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, part of RTX, seeks an experienced aerospace mechanic for onsite work in Middletown, CT. You will assemble and disassemble gas turbine engines, modules, and accessories, following blueprints, worksheets and engineering bulletins to meet strict requirements.

You will set up balancing operations, inspect parts with precision instruments, and assist with engineering changes. A&P license or equivalent credentials and 5+ years in heavy automotive or aerospace maintenance are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent with an A&P license, or 4 years of technical high school with post-high school certification.
• 5+ years of heavy automotive experience.
• Experience as an aerospace or aviation mechanic preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and disassemble production, experimental and overhaul gas turbine engines and modules.
• Follow work instructions, blueprints and engineering bulletins to ensure compliance.
• Set up static balance operations on rotating engine parts.
• Use precision measuring instruments to verify assembly dimensions.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspection of parts and records.
• Train for licenses and certifications as required.
