Jefferson Police Department - Police Officer Armed (prior police experience) - Full Time - Various Locations & Shifts

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safety and security of all Jefferson employees, students, visitors, staff, and property.
• Patrol Jefferson campus on foot or bicycle, monitor safety at various locations.
• Respond to serious incidents, take appropriate action per laws and policies.
• Interact with co-workers, visitors, and staff, maintaining Jefferson's values.
• Conduct unscheduled checks of high-risk areas, report security concerns.
• Provide on-campus escorts, produce incident reports, and document incidents.
• Advise victims on reporting crimes, work with law enforcement, and testify in court if needed.
• Assist with security details, VIP protection, crowd control, and emergency response.
• Perform other security duties as directed by supervisors.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; associate’s in Criminal Justice preferred.
• Security, law enforcement, or military experience required.
• Ability to pass physical, psychological, and drug tests.
• Valid driver’s license; proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Work Details:

• Rotating shifts, full-time position.
• Location: 1015 Walnut Street, Philadelphia, PA.
