Job Responsibilities

1. Ensure the safety and security of Jefferson employees, students, visitors, staff, and property.
2. Patrol campus on foot or bicycle, monitor safety, and respond to incidents in accordance with laws and policies.
3. Interact with co-workers, visitors, and staff, and report security concerns.
4. Produce incident reports and advise crime victims on reporting procedures.
5. Coordinate with law enforcement agencies and testify in court if needed.
6. Assist with security details, VIP protection, crowd control, and emergency response.
7. Perform other security duties as directed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s in Criminal Justice preferred.
• Security, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Ability to pass physical, psychological, and drug tests.
• Valid driver’s license and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Meet training requirements for PA Armed positions.
