Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safety and security of Jefferson employees, students, visitors, staff, and property.
• Patrol campus on foot or bicycle, monitor safety, and respond to serious incidents in accordance with laws and policies.
• Interact with co-workers, visitors, and staff, and provide on-campus escorts.
• Report security or safety concerns, produce incident reports, and advise crime victims.
• Coordinate with law enforcement agencies, testify in court, and participate in security details and VIP protection.
• Assist in emergency situations, including fires, bomb threats, and other crises.
• Perform related duties such as responding to calls, assisting victims, and ensuring visitor compliance.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Adaptability to changing environments and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of security measures, crisis management, and emergency response.
• Ability to analyze situations and make decisions, work with teams, and handle emergencies.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• Security, law enforcement, or military experience required.
• Ability to pass physical, psychological, and drug tests.
• Valid driver’s license and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
