Jefferson Police Department - Police Officer Armed (prior police experience) - Full Time - Various Locations & Shifts

Join Jefferson Health as a Police Officer Armed with prior police experience. This full-time role involves ensuring the safety and security of all Jefferson employees, students, visitors, staff, and property across various campus locations and shifts.

Responsibilities include:

• Patrolling Jefferson campus on foot or bicycle, monitoring safety at various locations, and responding to serious incidents in accordance with laws and policies.
• Interacting with co-workers, visitors, and staff, and providing on-campus escorts as needed.
• Reporting security concerns, producing incident reports, and advising crime victims on reporting procedures.
• Collaborating with law enforcement agencies, testifying in court, and participating in security details for special events.
• Assisting in emergency situations such as fires, bomb threats, and other crises as part of the Emergency Response Team.
• Performing other security duties, including responding to calls, documenting incidents, and ensuring visitor compliance with regulations.

Qualifications include:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice preferred.
• Security, law enforcement, or military experience required.
• Ability to pass physical, psychological, and drug tests; valid driver’s license; proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• For PA Armed positions: completion of Police Academy training or compliance with Act 501 and Act 235F requirements.

Work Details:

• Rotating shifts across various times.
• Location: 1015 Walnut Street, Philadelphia, PA.
