Job Responsibilities:

1. Ensure the safety and security of Jefferson employees, students, visitors, staff, and property.
2. Patrol the Jefferson campus on foot or bicycle, monitoring safety at various locations.
3. Respond to serious incidents and take appropriate action according to laws and policies.
4. Interact with co-workers, visitors, and staff, maintaining the values of Jefferson.
5. Conduct security checks, provide escorts, and report safety concerns.
6. Produce incident reports and assist in reporting crimes to authorities.
7. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and testify in court when required.
8. Participate in security details, VIP protection, and crowd control for events.
9. Assist in emergency situations as part of the Emergency Response Team.
10. Perform other security duties as assigned by the Lieutenant.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s Degree preferred.
• Security, law enforcement, or military experience required.
• Ability to pass physical, psychological, and drug tests.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Meet requirements for Police Academy training or Act 501 and Act 235F for PA Armed positions.
