Job summary
Cognizant in Boston, MA is seeking a Java AMS Lead to own production support for mission-critical Java applications, ensuring availability and SLA compliance. You will coordinate between onsite and offshore teams, lead incident resolution, and drive continuous improvement within the Application Managed Services group.
You will mentor engineers, implement improvements, monitor system health and performance, and collaborate with stakeholders on deployments and migrations in a fast-paced AMS
Qualifications
- Extensive experience supporting enterprise Java applications in production/AMS.
- Strong incident, problem, change, and release management expertise.
- Experience leading production support teams with onsite-offshore delivery.
Responsibilities
- Lead production support activities for Java-based applications, ensuring availability and SLA adherence.
- Serve as primary escalation point for production incidents and coordinate across teams.
- Drive incident, problem, change, and release processes with RCA and preventive actions.
- Analyze requirements and deliver minor enhancements and bug fixes.
- Monitor health, integrations, batch jobs, and performance; pursue automation opportunities.
- Manage stakeholder communications, escalations, and service delivery reporting.
- Support migrations, deployments, testing, and production releases.
- Provide technical leadership through troubleshooting and code reviews.
