Job summary

Pantheon Data, a DHS-focused IT services provider in the Washington, DC area, seeks an experienced Technical Writer / Functional Analyst for Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS). The role involves eliciting requirements, documenting As-Is/To-Be processes, and producing both functional and technical design artifacts for a government real property program.

Qualifications

• Active DHS Fitness determination or current federal background investigation eligibility.
• 3+ years authoring functional or technical design documentation.
• Experience eliciting requirements from business stakeholders and translating to system behavior.
• Ability to read SQL and trace query-based reports.
• Experience documenting configured enterprise applications with configuration-driven behavior.
• Exceptional written communication for non-technical audiences.
• Comfortable working on government-furnished equipment in controlled environments.
• Ability to work effectively remotely in cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Elicit and document requirements with stakeholders.
• Document As-Is / To-Be processes for migrations or enhancements.
• Create functional and technical design documents for UI/UX changes.
• Trace requirements through development lifecycle and maintain traceability.
• Participate in design sessions and reviews; document decisions and open items.
• Coordinate with the development contractor on design intent and feasibility.
• Validate delivered configurations against design and support UAT.
• Develop end-user materials: training curricula, job aids, release notes.
