Job summary

Pantheon Data, a Kenific Holding company, seeks an experienced Technical Writer / Functional Analyst - IWMS to support a U.S. Department of Homeland Security program focused on enterprise real property and facilities management.

This remote-friendly role requires strong requirements elicitation, SQL tracing, and clear technical documentation across stakeholder groups. Requirements include 3+ years of design documentation, a Bachelor's Degree, and DHS fitness determination.

Qualifications

• 3+ years authoring functional or technical design documentation that development teams implemented.
• Experience eliciting requirements from business stakeholders and translating them into system behavior.
• Ability to read SQL to trace and validate query-based report output.
• Experience documenting configured enterprise applications where behavior lives in configuration rather than custom code.
• Excellent written communication, able to explain technical behavior clearly to a non-technical audience.
• Comfortable working remotely in cross-functional teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Elicit and document requirements through working sessions with stakeholders.
• Collaborate to develop As-Is / To-Be process documentation for functionality being migrated or enhanced.
• Author functional and technical design documents for UI/UX changes, configurations, and API settings.
• Trace requirements throughout the development lifecycle and maintain traceability.
• Participate in design sessions and build reviews, documenting decisions and open items.
• Coordinate with the development contractor on design intent and feasibility.
• Validate delivered configuration matches design and support UAT documentation.
• Create end-user materials such as training curricula, job aids, release notes, and guidance.
