Job summary

HDR is seeking a Business Class Director for Integrated Watershed Management. You will direct and coordinate HDR’s service lines including watershed management, water supply, groundwater, and water quality, guiding multi-disciplinary teams and ensuring high-quality outcomes. Travel ~35% and leadership across markets are required.

The role emphasizes client development, industry engagement, and maintaining HDR values in an employee-owned culture. Location is flexible within HDR's footprint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in related field.
• Must maintain a professional or Architecture/Engineering registration for tech leadership roles.
• Proven ability to manage diverse teams and collaborate with other directors.

Responsibilities

• Provide company-wide leadership of technical capabilities within the business class.
• Build close working relationships and coordinate with related business classes, market sectors, business groups and operations.
• Lead and participate in technical risk management through process and resource reviews and advisory services.
• Drive quality assurance and control processes and coordinate with the HDR Quality Manager.
• Oversee development and application of technical tools, standards, and techniques to enhance service quality and efficiency.
• Coordinate strategic hires within the business group and mentor technical leaders.
