HDR is seeking a Business Class Director to lead technical capabilities and oversee service areas within Integrated Watershed Management. You will coordinate with market sectors, manage risk, and shape strategic plans while mentoring technical leaders to deliver high-quality proposals and projects.

The role requires extensive leadership experience, professional registration, and a strong commitment to HDR values and employee ownership culture. Location is flexible with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in related field.
• Professional registration if core service is technical design.
• Experience developing and managing diverse teams.
• Ability to work cooperatively with other business class directors, operations managers and marketing managers.
• Commitment to HDR values and quality.
• Active participation in employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide company-wide leadership of technical capabilities within the business class.
• Build relationships with related business classes, market sectors and operations.
• Lead risk management through process and resource reviews and maintain quality standards.
• Coordinate with the Quality Manager on QA processes.
• Develop and apply tools, standards, and techniques to improve service quality.
• Develop strategic plan for the business class with leadership input.
• Foster teamwork and cross-office collaboration among staff.
• Monitor direction, policies, and staffing to workload allocation.
• Recruit and train staff to build technical expertise and capacity.
• Represent HDR in industry organizations and events.
