Job summary

Rhythm Energy is seeking an Email Marketing Automation Developer to join our Lifecycle Marketing Platform team. You will own journey execution, template development, QA, and platform operations across Iterable instances to power acquisition, engagement, retention, and winback.

This remote-first role focuses on building complex automations, troubleshooting issues, optimizing deliverability, and bringing lifecycle capabilities in-house with a scalable platform.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years hands-on with Iterable in marketing automation or lifecycle marketing.
• Experience building event-driven journeys using behavioral triggers and multi-channel workflows.
• Advanced knowledge of Handlebars including conditional logic, loops, data references.
• Comfortable reading/editing HTML and CSS for email templates.
• Experience troubleshooting complex automation issues independently.
• Strong attention to detail with disciplined QA and campaign validation.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and optimize email and SMS journeys using Iterable's workflow builder.
• Develop and troubleshoot complex multi-step automations with branching logic and audience filters.
• Configure new Iterable projects, sending domains, and sender profiles as needed.
• Manage audience segmentation, suppression lists, frequency caps, and compliance across multiple instances.
• Build and maintain dynamic email templates with Handlebars, including data feeds and fallbacks.
• Read/mod HTML/CSS for templates and troubleshoot issues without engineering support.
• Support deliverability through IP warmup and monitoring; document journey logic and configs.
