Job summary

Salesforce is seeking an experienced ITAR compliance professional to design, implement, and maintain the company’s ITAR program as the Empowered Official. You will lead licensing, registrations, and CJ determinations across business teams in a hybrid role based out of the Salesforce office three days a week.

You will collaborate with Global Trade and legal stakeholders to ensure compliance with U.S. ITAR regulations, advise on transactions, and drive continuous improvements in export controls.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing and managing an enterprise ITAR program.
• Experience with commodity jurisdiction analysis, submission and review.
• Proven track record implementing compliance processes and programs.
• Experience managing export licensing processes and mandatory reporting.
• Experience with risk management, audits and investigations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across legal and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Salesforce's ITAR compliance program, including policies, training and audits.
• Serve as Salesforce's ITAR Empowered Official for the business teams.
• Review and sign export license applications and TAAs for legal compliance.
• Conduct due diligence to verify eligibility of counterparties in transactions.
• Manage ITAR registration with DDTC and handle annual renewals and change notifications.
• Determine CJ classifications and ITAR applicability for products and bespoke activities.
• Act as primary export control resource for deal and solution evaluations to prevent unauthorized transactions.
• Prepare and manage authorizations under ITAR and other export controls as applicable.
