Job summary

Salesforce is seeking an experienced ITAR compliance professional to serve as its Empowered Official and primary export control contact for the Global Trade team. You will design, implement, and maintain Salesforce's ITAR compliance program, including registrations, as part of the Global Trade function, reporting to the Head of Global Trade.

This is a hybrid role with three days in the Salesforce office each week.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as an ITAR compliance professional
• Experience with Commodity Jurisdiction analysis, preparation, and submission
• Proven track record of implementing effective compliance processes and programs
• Experience in managing export licensing processes, including mandatory reporting
• Experience with risk management and compliance audits
• Excellent communication skills, oral and written, and ability to collaborate across functions with key stakeholders
• Proven ability to manage projects independently
• Experience interfacing with government agencies, especially DDTC
• Familiarity with DECCS and compliance tools
• Experience in sanctions compliance is a plus
• High ethical standards and attention to detail
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to adapt and grow in an expanding organization

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Salesforce’s ITAR compliance program, including policies and procedures
• Serve as Salesforce's ITAR Empowered Official
• Review and sign export license applications and TAAs
• Conduct due diligence to verify eligibility of parties in transactions
• Manage ITAR registration with DDTC, renewals, and changes
• Manage CJ classifications and determine ITAR-regulated products/activities
• Act as primary export control resource during deals and evaluations
• Prepare, submit, and manage authorizations for ITAR and other regimes
• Track and report on political contributions and related thresholds
